The idea of ​​establishing the German University of Technology in Amman dates back to 2003, when ambitious Omani investors decided to establish a university of technology in Amman with high efficiency. This idea was inspired by the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to provide high quality education in the Sultanate through private sector investors. The RWTH Aachen University in Germany was chosen with the aim of achieving German excellence in higher education in Oman, and after a few years of discussion and negotiation the establishment scheme became clear.
